Get to know the idea of the second circulation of clothes

Three decades of experience have allowed us to develop a maximally efficient system for collecting, sorting and giving a "second life" to clothes. None of the clothes donated to us will end up in a landfill, we will use every piece, for the benefit of society and the environment! Importantly, we collect and reintroduce into circulation only clothes from Polish closets.

What to do with unnecessary clothes? It’s easy! Donate your unwanted clothes to the PCK or Eco Textil bins. Why it’s worth it. This way we save textiles from landfill and give them a chance for a second life

Transport the collected textiles to the sorting plant

Local companies operate the bins and deliver the textiles to Wtórpol’s modern sorting plant. We collect mainly undamaged items, as only such can go to second-hand stores.

We supply second-hand stores

Clothes of the right quality go to second-hand stores. This creates more jobs and makes it possible to buy quality clothes at attractive prices.

We export clothing to 36 countries

Some of the clothes of good quality, selected according to the requirements of the recipient, are exported and are sent mostly to Africa and Asia. Our cooperation has lasted for more than 20 years.

We turn unwanted textiles into needed items

And how do we deal with things that are not suitable to go back into circulation unchanged? We make cleaning cloth from cotton, and convert the remaining items into alternative fuel.

We operate with the principle of 100% zero waste

We collect unwanted clothing in 60,000 special containers, located in almost every town in Poland. They bear the logo of our Eco Textil Foundation, and we also cooperate with the Polish Red Cross.

By donating unwanted clothes to us, people do not have to pay for their disposal, which would be the case if the clothes went to a waste container. What’s more, Wtórpol guarantees 100% management of the collected clothing.

We make use of every item, for the benefit of society and the environment. We share the profits with those in need.

How it's done - that is, our technological process

  • Containers for used clothing

    Here begins the journey of your unwanted clothes. In one of the 60,000 special containers, located in almost every town in Poland. Clothing containers are emptied regularly and their contents are sent to a sorting plant in Skarżysko-Kamienna. Annually, that's an average of 84 million kilograms of clothes, or about 1.5 million pieces of clothing each day! And the plant can process up to three times that amount. The sorting plant involves a process divided into many stages.

  • 4 stages of sorting

    At first, the most damaged clothes are separated from those in good condition. But even they have a role to play - some will be used to produce alternative fuel. Cotton is used to produce cleaning cloth, which is sold to more than 6,000 companies in Poland and abroad). Cloth made from wool will be exported as raw material and will be used, among other things, in the production of carpets.

  • Best clothes

    Clothing in good condition goes to the next stage. These are things that in unprocessed form can return to the market. They are sorted by genre and type, for example - children's clothing, dresses, jackets, pants, shoes, handbags - a total of about 120 categories. Items of the best quality are put back on sale - in Poland to a network of nearly 100 stationary TekStylowo stores and an online store, or exported to 36 countries around the world.
